In the lyrics when it says �Sprawling on the fringes of the city In geometric order An insulated border In between the bright lights And the far unlit unknown�, it makes me think that the person is probably in jail or away from his house because it says that there is some sort of border which probably is keeping him from his home. And �And the far lit unknown, he can see his house/family from the view that he is seeing, and that he/she wants to go back to the warmth of his family. And that there is still hope and future for him/her so he/she won�t give up. �Growing up it all seems so, one-sided� growing up all by him/herself seems to be too hard for her/him to accomplish but as long as he sees the unlit unknown he/she won�t give up. �Opinions all provided, The future pre-decided� There are many options for him/her to take and that once the decision is made that there is no turning back because the future is now decided. �In the high school halls In the shopping malls Conform or be cast out� he/she wants to be back In school, so maybe he dropped out or something, he/she wants to be shopping with his/her friends like there are no problems, or borders keeping him/her from doing just that. This of course is just my opinion it may be different things to what the lyrics actually mean. These lyrics didn�t really impact me and change in any way my feelings or anything like that. I taught these lyrics were weird. I don�t like this kind of music, I think it is boring so I can make out what he/she is trying to make out. |
