Windsor - Great Britain
 |
This castle is the chief residence of English rulers since William (William the Conqueror) 1027 to 1087. The dominant
structure of Windsor Castle is the Round Tower where Queen Elizabeth lives. The flag on top of the tower will be lowered if
she is away from the castle. When we visited the castle, the Queen was just throwing a huge party for her mother's 100th
birthday.

The castle has a grand State Apartment, where the kings and the queens had held banquet.

We also saw the ceremony of the guard exchange.

We visited the Saint George's Hall, the Waterloo Chamber, the Throne Room, the Rubens Room, and the Van Dyck Room
which contain valuable collections of paintings, statuary, the dolls collected by Queen Mary, other fine drawing objects, and
the Chapel where the royal family members are buried.
