Brussels - Belgium

This is the Grand Plaza surrounded by quite a few hundred-year old notable secular buildings. The black color on the walls is resulted from aging and smoke. Flower planting on the windows or balconies is common decoration in Europe. We saw it everywhere we went.
The 13th-century Saint Michel's Cathedral is famous for its stained-glass windows.
Brussels has long been known for the production of fine lace, called Brussels lace, and for tapestry weaving. It is internationally important as the headquarters of the European Union (EU) and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
Near the Grand Plaza resides Mannekin-Pis Statue which is a famous bronze statue of a boy using his urine to stop the bomb from destroying the city.
