DANNEVIRKE PAGE 6

___________________________________________________________________________

Milk from dairy farms around the district is brought by road tanker to this silo on the outskirts of Dannevirke from whence it is transfered to railway tankers for the 200 mile journey to the milk processing plant at Hawera. During the flush of the season 2 or 3 8 tanker trains run each day.
