An Ode to the Pancake and/or Waffle Houses of Williamsburg |
I recently traveled to Williamsburg VA. It was pretty good, I guess. You know, blah blah living history, bleedy blah birth of our country, we owe our freedom to blah blah blah. That sort of thing. But, the best part of the trip was the road in between our hotel and Williamsburg. In a roughly one mile stretch of road there were nine (nine!) pancake and/or waffle houses. What kind of place could possibly accommodate nine pancake and/or waffle houses in such a small area? Until recently, I would have said only Heaven. Apparently, there's a little bit of Heaven in Williamsburg. Also, the place has some sort of historical significance. I think it's where they caught Hitler, I don't know I was too busy thinking about pancakes to pay much attention.
