Going bats over the problems on your computer?

Did you know that your Windows system can and will help you with a specific problem?

Go to the Start bar...go to the Help and click. You will see a Contents tab...
Click on this and look down the list. Do you see troubleshooting?? Click on this, see windows troubleshooting? Your halfway there, the list should include all the problems you could have with your windows programs. Follow the troubleshooter and the fix is around the corner.

Want to change that view you get when you start up?

Go to the START bar and go to SETTINGS. Click on the CONTROL PANEL. Do you see DESKTOP THEMES?
Click on that and look at the different themes you can have, don't worry you won't make it a permenent till you click on APPLY. I guess I shouldn't say permenent, you can always change them.

Rembember the computer is suposed to be fun...NOT work. Keep in mind the machine you are on is the DUMBEST piece of lumber on the planet. The expresion in computer circles is GIGO. Garbage in garbage out!!!

How do I adjust my volume on the PC?
Double click on the little icon at the bottom of the screen (start bar) it looks like a headlight.
All the volume controls will come up and you can adjust the MAIN or any of the other controls. When you exit the PC will save the settings.

If you are using the Microsoft internet explorer
( and who dosen't) upgrade the thing. The latest one is 6.0 and you want to make sure its the 128 bit incription. Sounds like Greek? The upgrade is easy. Go to the top of the browser and find HELP, click on that, move the pointer to ABOUT INTRENET EXPLORER, you will see the version and cipher strenght, that is your increption value. If its less that 128 go to the the blue link that says UPDATE INFORMATION click on that and it will take you to the Microsoft update area. You may just update the old browser or move the thing up to the 6.0. This process will take about an hour of your time but its worth it. Want it easier that that....go to the link to the left Microsoft update and the system will do it for you. Lazy Bones.
