The Destruction

"Now that you know the beauty of my sisters, I will tell
you of their deaths. It's a sad one, but you should know.".
The year is 1998 and it seems good. Unknown to us all, is an
evil force waiting to devour each and every one of us. More
and more the stories of our world begin to grow. Some of the
merfolk are not so careful, so not to be seen. Now in this
time, humans enter our waters and try to see if we are real.
We are in danger!! Many flee to the deeper parts of the oceans,
while some remain to defend what is theirs. I wanted to
leave, but my sisters insisted on staying and standing up for what
is rightfully ours. I dare not argue with my mother and father,
who also agreed with my sisters. So, here I am stuck in danger.
Humans begin coming in by the drones and we all fear the worst.
I watch in horror as many of the merfolk are captured & tortured.
Thousands are killed daily and there is nothing we can do about it.
They use every method in the world to bring us down and fast.
There is no way to name all of the ways, but I will list a few.
Father tries to stop them with his power, but the humans are too
strong. All around us is war, between the humans & the mermaids.
It is the worst bloodshed I ever saw in my life. I cried.

Three months have slowly passed by, & only 50 merfolk exist.
This naturally includes my family, of course. *Smiles*
Terror for our merfolk not only sweep this village, but
nation wide, as well. All over the world merfolk are suffering
terrible fate, such as our own. My father decides that taking
us to the depths of the ocean is a better idea. We convince the
others to travel with us and off we go to the ocean. It is
a long journey, but a worthwhile one. We live out there
until the year 1999. Then havoc FINDS us again.
The day starts out to be a beautiful sunny day with billowy
clouds in the sky, but it didn't end up like that. Off in the
distant we saw a fleet of fishing boats and even some from
the NAVY, too. Thunder did her best by bringing about the
bad weather all around us, there were bolts of lightening and
thunder sounding off everywhere. We were in hopes of knock-
ing them completely off their ships, but no such luck. We tried.
We had no clue if any other merfolk were alive, but all eyes
were fixated on MY family alone. My father and mother stood
up to them, as long as, they could until death came there way.
Simple human disease killed my folks. Nothing could of stopped it.
My FIVE sisters and I fled, as fast and as, far as we could go.
We just seemed to be no match for them. With only SIX of us.
Humans out numbered us 1000 to 1. Great odds huh?

Men started jumping, from the navy boats, into the waters.
They had on the weirdest clothes I ever saw, but no time to
study them up close and personal. It was time to swim and fast.
Off way in the distance, I could hear my friend, the whale.
She was warning me about the weather. With Thunder no longer
watching it, it was getting very rough and choppy. I love her.
Corla suddenly got grabbed by her husband, Greiko. He managed
to catch up to her in his rubber raft and jumped in to get her.
She screamed to us to take the kids. I grabbed hold of
Shellana, while Aeika had Sandlora. Corla fought him off the
best she could. She managed to pull off all the mask of the
others, but not before being stabbed by a fellow merfolk, Greiko.
There Greiko stood hovering over Corla's body as it dropped
to the ground. He had to find a way to get to his boat and
dry off so that they would never know who he REALLY was. *evil*
I glanced back, but could not see thru the water. The water
was so choppy. They were close on our backsides, as we swam
off to shelter, an old pirate ship way down in the depths of
the ocean. There I decided to place Shellana and Sandlora
for safety measures. "STAY HERE!!," I shouted at them. We
started upward to see what we could see, when two divers
started coming at us. Desya ordered us to leave and flee. So,
that we did. Meanwhile, the fight was on between her and the
two gentlemen. She managed to kill one with her powerful tail,
but the other one brought out a knife. Just as she slammed him
into a spike, he too stabbed her to death. She died protecting
those children. All the while, they stayed very much hidden.

Well, with the children hidden and only FOUR merfolk left,
we pushed onward. We were assured that the children would be
safe in their hiding place. Alas, if only we knew how false.
Two other seamen found them and hurled them to the surface.
That is, shortly after we left. In a cage they did go and
stayed, too. Meanwhile, up top we could hear a boat horn blow.
Aeiko sends us away and tells us to hide, as she plays one
of her splendid jokes. A group of fishing men had their boats
right near each other. Aeiko decides to give them a thrill
that they will never forget. She manages to get rope tied up
in each of their boat motors. It is so tangled up that you
can't tell where it started or ended..LOL!! She then leaps
into the air and comes down right in the center of them. =)
Now you might not know this, but it's one long rope so it
stretches from boat to boat..*giggles* Off she swims at top
speed..with them pissed off. They start their motors and
throw it in high and WHAM they splat right into each other.
You wouldn't believe what a sight..LOL!! With that trick,
boats are flipping upside down and crashing over other boats.
Massive explosion here!!
Unfortunately for her, one of the boats came right down on her.
Put a LARGE gap in her forehead and sent her spiralling to the
ocean floor. Not one of us could have saved her. I miss her so.

Angelina, Thunder and I fleeted from that spot quickly.
Now over 2500 miles from home, things looked worse than
ever. Angelina pointed out that the children were still
left behind, but I reminded her that when this died down
we would go and rescue them. That is-unknowing the fate
on that matter already. We had managed to make it about
1000 miles from the war, when a lone fishermen sitting in his
boat, spotted us. "I'll get you. That's a promise here, missy,"
he had said with firmness in his voice. Before we could dart
away he harpooned Thunder right in the chest area. We sped
after her like a shot, but it was too late. She had gone too
far down for us to retrieve her. Angelina swifly went under
the man's boat and tipped him over, with that shot her venimous
poison into him. He died instantly. "That's that", she replied.
With just Angelina and myself, we headed about 50 miles more
and came upon a deserted island. There in the coral bed we
laid our heads for the night. I couldn't sleep a wink, so I
decided to wonder off around the coral bed. They had some
beautiful marine life below that blueish, green water. AH!!
What a paradise it truly was. Morning was upon us, so I
trecked my way back to my one and only sister. There she
layed in a pool of her own blood. She had been stabbed in the
heart, and it looked like whoever did this was not done yet.
I heard rustling in the trees, so I took that chance to hide.
Out came this burly looking dude singing a sailor's tune.
He dragged my sister off by her tail and with that I fled.

I swam for what felt like days, but was only one day. I
landed on this island that I know was never on the map at all.
Remember, Desyla and myself, were always found in pirate
ships. I pulled myself onto the beach and let the sun dry
me completely. For the first time in my life I cried myself
to sleep. What a dark and lonely night that turned out to be.
OH WHAT!! OH WHAT!! Was I going to do now, I wondered.
