Danjera Dam is a dog friendly camping area. It does not have any amenities except for a pump and/or 'flush' toilet. There are fireplaces and firewood provided. Take drinking water or boil the dam water (the Shoalhaven Council says it is not safe for drinking) - the dam water is ok of washing.
Weekends seems to be "the boys in their 4WD" bonding time. Be aware of this as you drive in..
You must be prepared to share the campsite with some gigantic goannas. There were 4 where I camped ranging in size from one metre to 2-3 metres all very brazen about entering the tent. Keep the screen zipped.
Kangaroos, wallabies, foxes and wombats all come around at night.
