The two main forces on Danius are Order and Chaos. These two are the day and the night. There was once only Order and harmony on Danius when the Lendores and the Danians lived together. The Lendores had come from a world where there was both, and had fought against Chaos for very long. Chaos is described as what lives inside of a person, but holds no power unless it is intentionally let out. Before Chaos only existed within the dreams of Danians. In sleep Danians would experience a different kind of existence; one that sought power and pleasure. Chaos is the sleeping element within all Danian people. They had only heard about it and seen it in their dreams until the Day of the End of Peace. On that day the Zanons found the Lendores hiding on Danius, and began the last of their many battles. The two groups fought until the Lendores finally prevailed, but the spirits of the fallen warriors were left on the world. With Chaos present in the day and in the dreams of Danians, it began to take over. Where once there was no Chaos suddenly there was an imbalance of it. Before long the world became unsuitable for the Lendores, and the people, now full of Chaos, could not accept them. There is still power in Order; moreso than Chaos even. Order, however, is much more difficult to control. While Choas is simply an embracing of the natural urge for more power and pleasure, Order takes a sense of peace and sureness. The Dalen are those of Order, and Nevellucus and his army are those of Chaos. |
