Hi Everyone! Sorry its taken me so long to get something posted, but I haven't been feeling very well lately. The pollen is very bad over here and it has definitely taken its toll on me.

HAPPY (late) MOTHERS DAY! Did everyone remember to call their mommies?

I am will be coming back to the states at the beginning of June. My friend Carolynn is getting married and I have to honor of being one of her bridesmaids. Then a couple of weeks after the wedding, I start summer classes.

So not much new stuff over here. Chip and I had a wonderful weekend. We bought two wine racks (I'm trying to get some pictures posted) and then we played tourist and visited a small German town up by Frankfurt. It's a small town located on the Rhine river which is actually open on Sundays. We bought some new wine for our wine racks and some small souvinirs.

I am still working and will continue to up until I leave. Chip is busy at work as usual. All in all, we are both good but not to exciting (I guess that is married life for you..ha, ha)

Everyone have a great week!

April 27, 2003

Hi Everyone! Hope everyone had a great Easter.

Things are good over here. This week was the last week of bolwing. Chip's Tuesday night bowling took first place (they were so far ahead, they didn't even have to show up the last three weeks) and his Friday night league took fourth place (out of 23 teams). So all in all, it was a very good bowling year.

My new job is working out great. I really like it and get along great with everyone. My only problem, Baskin Robbins is located four doors down from us, can you say stawberry banana smoothie?

Some of you alreday know, but I am officially enrolled in classes for next fall. I found out that I am one class short, so I am taking summer classes so I can graduate next May. So I will be heading back this june for Carolynn's wedding and then start classes a couple weeks after that.

We went to Six Flags in Belgium the other weekend. We had alot of fun, it was a very long day. It was the season opener, but it was still a little cold so there were not alot of people there so we didn't have to wait very long to get on the rides. Highlight of the day: We got to try a real Belgium waffle.

Hope you all have a great week!

Sorry! We have had a pretty boring couple of weeks, so I am forced to leave this new bulletin up for another couple of days until I can think of something brillant to say. Happy Easter!

My new job is great. The people there are really nice although I have never worked with all females before, its actually really interesting. I spent the week learning the merchandise and how to run the register so all is good. And on an equally bright note, I haven't broken anything.....(yet?). Although I did lock myself out yesterday when the back door shut while I was in the back shed.

Chip built a new computer this week. He bought all the peices off of the Internet and put them together. So now we have a super dooper, heavty duty computer that runs much, much smoother. We even have seperate desktops where we have to log on to get our own stuff. Pretty cool I think. It was something he has wanted to do for a very long time so he's pretty satisfied right now.

Now that I have been sucked into military life, I went out searching for all the benefits I have heard about, but instead stumbled onto a military wives support group online. I joined and contributed some of my opinions. Its a great place where we can all complain about our husbands (I'm still amazed when I call Chip my husband) or deployments, or everyday life. Well, since the site is growing bigger, they were looking for moderators to well, moderate or watch over the different topics for OPSEC or catfights. If you want to check it out, I should be adding a link to it in the next couple of days.

And speaking of adding links, some of you might of noticed I worked very hard last weekend to get some more pages up (although the pics I promised are taking more time that I thought). One thing I would like to see grow is my online cookbook. Some of you might already know (elizabeth, don't you dare laugh) but I'm somewhat of a diaster in the kitchen. I am learning, very slowly, but need your help. I am tired of being a box dinner cooker so please take some time to contribute some of our own recipes or helpful hints and tips. For those of you who check this website for updates, I have reserved the weekends to do just that. Sometimes it might be Sat. or sometimes Sun., but all should be updated by Monday morning. Also, at the very bottom of this page I have listed the last time I updated the site so there is no question.

Hope all of you have a good week!

March 29, 2003

Well, this week has been a little more interesting. Most important: I got a job. (Yipee!) It's a place in the BX shopping mall called Willi Geck which is a "breakable" store, ie, crystal, porclein, and more crystal. I promise, I will be very, very careful!

Chip got a new soldier this week, a reservist I think. Although he doesn't know exactly to think about that. He told me it's been a long time since he's been in charge of someone directly. I just don't think he likes sharing his office.

And the last peice of news, which may seem silly to everyone. On Wednesday, Chip and I invited his bowling partners to practice for leage and they ended convincing me to bowl with them. To make a long story short, I scored a 113 which may seem really low (well, actually it is a very low score) but I usually only score around the 60's. In a house where your husband bowls 200's, I'm very proud of my 113.

March 21, 2003

It's been almost two weeks since Chip's eye surgery. The first week was kind of hard, but we got through it. On his doctor visit last Friday, the doc said he would have 20/20 vision when it stopped being blury. Some days he can see fine and the next day everything will be blury. But he is very happy to get rid of his glasses, as he reminds me every day.

Other than that, we have had a pretty uninteresting week. The weather has been beautiful so we have taken many walks. At the moment, Chip is trying to put together a new grill. I know this sounds boring, but we have bad luck in the past putting together grills so this should be interesting.

On a side note, we have our digital camera up and working so start checking us out more in about a week and you should see more pictures. Hope you all ae having a great week.

On March 10

Chip finally had his PRK eye surgery. Its a laser surgery to help correct his vision, which means he no longer has to wear glasses. Yipee! At first, he was very sensitive to light (couldn't even look in the fridge). But slowling his vision is improving (its almost 20/50) and the bluriness is going away. By next week, he should be back to work and playing video games (you can't imagine my excitement when he couldn't play his x-box for a week.
