Author's note: This story is loosely based on the movie 'Singles' starring Bridget Fonda, Matt Dillon, Kyra Sedgwick, and Campbell Scott. Truly, this story borrows from a lot of other movies, but in a minor way and since I needed a whole slew of people, I decided to combine the characters from Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, Persuasion, Northanger Abbey, Emma, Sense and Sensibility, and Mansfield Park.

Regardless of all the different characters, this fan fiction is mainly about my favorite novel... ever: Pride and Prejudice.

The cast is made up of famous actors, actresses, athletes, comedians, models, rappers, singers, and TV talk show hosts of African American descent - which is something that I've always wanted to do. In addition to that, this story is also rich with R&B/Top 40 music from the 70's and upward; some of it available for your listening pleasure.

Finally, I don't believe this story is A-typical of the lives of Blacks, but there's a whole lot of truth to some of the characters' demeanors from people either I've known intimately or have been acquainted with in my lifetime. A few of the female characters even reflect some of my own traits... good and bad. That's the long way of telling you that this story's a bit... real. I hope you enjoy it...
