Testimony of life of a Mozambican pastor
Adriano Vieira Adissone
Adriano was born on August
20th of 1962 in Ngema, Milange district, Zambezia province, in an a poor not Christian
family. In 1973 he move out to live with his uncle, he matriculate in a
School with 11 years old, but he had some which he must leave the Study
because the war and because the money. Even with this problem he finished 7°
grade.
In February 21st of 1981 he
receive the call of the Holy Spirit to recognize his sin and obey Christ (God
use Luke 19:1-10). He became a member of the Reform Church in Mozambique. He
was a farmer and a teacher to read and write from the government.
In 1983 he married Madalena
Mateguia and baptize him with her on this year. Was been chose as an Elder
of his church. The family was blessed by 8 children, 4 died, now they have 2
son (Eduardo, 6° class and Calisto 2°class) and 2 daughter (Lidia 1st class
and Lembrança).
In 1996 through Mattheu
9:35-38 he perceived the need of pastors in his province, he started to pray
for pastors and finally perceived that he must go to be trained. He studied
in the Biblical Instituto HEFSIVA (Tete province). In 2000 he became a
Bachelor of Theology.
In January 21st of 2001, he
started in the congregation of Tezeze. It has 21 places of meeting. Add to
it, he look after two churches more: Muanhimbi with 7 places of meeting and
Namitiba with 11 places. In total are 39 places of meeting (for only one
pastor!!!!). The distances to go through are long. For example: one place of
meeting is Sebola, it's 125 km. far; Naminga 35 km.; Namitoga 32;
Muananhimbi 31, etc. The congregations are growing and the work increase
more and more.
