We had some light snowfall not long ago, and since then the Princes Street Gardens in the city have been
lit up at night to prepare for the Hogmanay celebrations. Here are just a few pictures of both those events...

Snowfall moving in waves across the Castle and the Scott Monument, seen from my bedroom window.
The Castle on a rare sunny day, also from my window. Ferris Wheel in front of the Scott Monument, Princes Street Gardens.
Ghosts of the Edinburgh dead, lit up in the windows of City Chambers with the city star overhead. Christmas tree in front of St. Giles' Cathedral.
The city star above the rides in Princes Street Gardens.
