"We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord" -II Corinthians 5:8

Bubba

Bubba was taken from us on the morning of October 31, 2008, at the age of 20. He was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis when he was only six weeks old and struggled with the disease all of his life. But, as anyone who knew him will tell you, he never complained and he never lost hope. Bubba had a beautiful soul and an enormous heart. To know him was to love him, and though he was only here for a short time, he impacted more lives than he will ever know. Friends and family meant a great deal to Bubba. He had a special place in his heart for all of us, and he will remain in our hearts forever. Before he died, Bubba told his mother and sister that he just wanted all of his brothers and sisters to get along. In order to honor his dying wish, we must do all we can to make Bubba proud as he watches over us from Heaven.

Come With Me

The Lord saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be,
So He put his arms around you
And whispered, "Come with me."

With tearful eyes, we watched you suffer
And saw you fade away,
Although we loved you dearly,
We could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,
A beautiful smile at rest,
God broke our hearts to prove
He only takes the best.

It's lonesome here without you
We miss you so each day,
Our lives are not the same
Since you went away.

When days are sad and lonely,
And everything goes wrong,
We seem to hear you whisper,
"Cheer up and carry on."

Each time we see your picture,
You seem to smile and say,
"Don't cry, I'm in God's keeping,
We'll meet again someday."
