All of the figures were taken from numerical equations used to determine averages and were taken from the complete results of the answers from the respondents. To review the exact answers given broken down by survey number review Appendix C. This appendix also gives an average answer for each question.

Discussion

The outcomes of this project reflect the needs of the average OS as demonstrated by previous reports documented in the review portion of this paper and many others not touched on here. The results show that the target audience is represented well and this accounting can be generalized. Based on this information, it is clear that online schools should focus, or continue to focus, on providing education that will meet the needs of the workplace. While there are those who may say they want to further their education to grow their minds these people usually do not choose the online methods available for this growth. Online education began as simply a means to gain greater skills for the workplace and has grown into a bona fide method of obtaining degrees in addition to needed workplace knowledge (Henderson, 1998).

Another suggestion would be that, in order to grow and win the minds of many who are out there wondering about online education these schools will need to open communication lines further with various workplaces to know what they seek in order to have a higher placement rate of online graduates in educationally partnered businesses.

The primary change that could and should be made to this project would be to expand the time frame for conducting the research so that the sampling could be larger
