I took one ride in a buggy with a 1200 single port and just had to build
one. So the search was on after looking at a hand full
of possible candidates I was told of this old dune buggy in a barn
behind a car dealer. It had been sitting for over 10 years and
was used as a buggy for beating in the woods of the East Coast. This
thing was as rough as they get but I loved the lines of the
body. The chassis is a “62” the body is a Fiberfab "Clodhopper" picked
it up for $400. I had it flat bedded to my house and plopped in the driveway.
Boy o Boy! was my girl friend happy. "Ok not realy" So the project began
stripped it to the tunnel and worked my way out. Completed the project
in 10 months. Thanks to all my friends” and a large stack of dead presidents.
