"I don't understand, what's the difference between Pegasus and Unicorn?" "The difference, Elissa, is quite obvious, Pegasus has wings, Unicorns have horns." "Then what do you call a mix, wings and horns?" "All with wings are Pegasus." "Pegasus take priority over Unicorns?" "On the contrary, Unicorns can speak. Pegasus understand but must communicate in other ways." Then why..." "Shhh... You ask too many questions. I will tell you of an ancient story told by Pegasus and Unicorn alike.

Once there were two white horses who were in love. They were named Verilum and Annina. Verilum being the male and Annina the female. But Annina also had another love. She loved the sky and would forever stand and look at it. It was full of magic and mystery and she wished to be free in it. To be among the clouds. To fly. Verilum loved Annina so much that he went to the Faerie ueen to see if she would help her. The Faerie hall was long and a red carpet led to the throne. There sat the Faerie Queen whom, it is said, is wiser than the Earth itself. "What is it that you wish?" the Faerie Queen asked Verilum although it is likely that she already knew. Verilum bowed low. "That which I wish for more than life itself is the power to let Annina fly." "Are you sure that is what you wish?" asked the Faerie Queen. "I'm as sure as you are wise, oh Queen, that this is what I wish." "Very well," and the Faerie Queen placed her hands on Verilum's forehead. There, a lump started to sprout. It grew and grew until it shone ivory. The first Unicorn had been created. "This would be the power to five Annina flight?" asked Verilum puzzled. "It has more power than you could imagine. I have granter oyu wish." "Then I thank you." "A word of warning, though, think well before using the power as even white magic can bring pain when used the wrong way." Verilum nodded his head and left. Verilum found Annina where she often was, on a hill, staring at the night sky. "With this," he said to her, turning his head, "I can give you the power of flight." Verilum's horn was long and as they nuzzled, his horn touched Annina's back. Two lumps suddenly sprouted on her back and Verilum wondered, "What have I done? Would she have two horns like mine on her bacl?" The bummps grew longer and feathers formed. Annina had grown wings. Annina gave an exclamation of suprise and with a shake of her head, she was flying in the sky."

"The first Pegasus!" "Yes, Annina flittered past the moons, played tag with the stars and whinnied at the passing comets. Verilum stood on the hill and watched her. It was then that he realised he would never again see his lovely Annina on the ground. She would be forever flying in the sky with the magic and mystery that lives there. Sad, he turned away. And that is why, on the night of the full moon, a lone Unicorn can be seen atop the highest hill looking to the night sky. Hoping, wishing, to see his beautiful Annina again, just one more time."
