The Dust
Fear has exploded outward.
From such a great height we fell,
Oh yes how we fell.
But we are still stubbornly standing.
And the dust hangs over us,
Blindingly gray,
And dirty.
But there is no gray,
There is only black and white.
And we are still stubbornly standing.
Safe in the night, we must be,
And under tonnes of steel they still breathe,
An illusion of our minds.
Keep pulling it away,
There must be an ounce of goodness beneath to prove our cause,
For we are still stubbornly standing.
Lash out into the night,
Identify all enemy.
I see you, I see you even in death.
You did this to me.
And you are all the same.
Despite the turmoil, the pain, the pain, the suffering within,
We will continue stubbornly standing.
