APOLOGIES
I'm sorry I'm not perfect,
That I'm not the way you want.
I'm sorry for my weaknesses,
And for the way they haunt.
I'm sorry for my temper,
My anger and my pain.
I'm sorry my excuses,
Always sound so lame.
I'm sorry for the bars I bring,
That I wrap around my heart.
I'm sorry that I cover sadness,
With a smile and a laugh.
I'm sorry for the pain I spread,
That I'm often wrong.
I'm sorry for the tears,
That I often cry too long.
I'm sorry I get stressed out,
As I try to please the world.
I'm sorry if I blame others,
That I'm not the perfect girl.
I'm sorry for the bad times,
And the way I'm difficult.
I'm sorry that I do not think,
The way you think I should.
I'm sorry that I disappoint,
And that I disappear.
I'm sorry for the million things,
I do not say I fear.
I'm sorry I am wretched,
I'm sorry I am torn,
I'm sorry I cannot decide,
And sometimes sorry I was born.
I'm sorry I cannot talk to you,
Of the deep things on my mind.
I'm sorry that though I try,
I am not always kind.
I'm sorry for denial,
And the way I do not see,
The anger of my problems,
Till they all engulf me.
I'm sorry for when I withdraw,
And the way I spread my pain.
I'm sorry I'm not always cheerful,
And hardly ever sane.
I'm sorry I lash out,
And for my scorpio sting.
I'm sorry I'm not truly,
Always listening.
I'm sorry that I'm troubled,
That I'm not the way you wish.
Oh yes, I'm truly sorry,
That I am not perfect.
