| REFLECTION OF A WASTELAND | ||||||||||||||
| Somewhere in the future, I saw into a crystal ball, And reflecting on my past, Found I had no past at all. Worried and bedraggled, Through my palm read just the same, There was nothing more behind me, I had no claim to fame. Discouraged no I searched out, All the magicks of the land, Consulting herbal medicine, Through to special coloured sand. Yet not one could explain it, Nor tell the story true, Sometime amongst the past, I disappeared I knew. Finally I travelled home, My sick frame pale with fright, Where to my great surprise, I passed away that night. |
