MARSHEL
So named for its large number of marshlands, it is strange that such poor soil can be located so close to a land of greatly prosperous soil (Yrel).
The people of Marshel, however, are not phased, for it is from their marshes that many of the rivers in Yrel flow and the building of dams has allowed for their land to live neither richly, nor poorly.
The citizens of Marshel are used to rough living as the greater portion of the population lives on, or near floodplains and marshland. Quite used to the water, they live in houses on stilts and look to long term investments rather than fixing what will only last till next flood. they are rugged folk who do not believe in gods, rather that every person should do their best to bring out their goodness and do what's right. They can be tricky though, a quickness of wit and intelligence that is required for survival on the plains.
