THE PROJECT FOR THE EXPANSION OF THE UNIRIO CAMPUS WAS DESIGNED BY Luiz Paulo Conde, Francisco de Assis Reis, Mauro Neves Nogueira, Daniel Osvaldo Casoy, Marcos Moraes de Sá and Mauro Almada. THE FIRST STAGE OF THE WORK WAS FINISHED WITH THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE BLOCK OF THE DIRECTION/LIBRARY/MUSEUM IN 1991. |

The general lay-out was precede by an urban analysis of Avenida Pasteur. The rithm of the big volumes on the front line and the small ones of its rear line, gives the pattern to follow in the new project. |
