Caracas is the capital of Venezuela, and it is located at the North part of the country�s center; at the coastal line.
The name of the state is �Distrito Federal (DF)�, and the city is Caracas. This is the smallest state of the country. Nevertheless, it is the most inhabited. That is the reason why it has so much movement and noise. Caracas is a very active city.
The most special thing of this city is a mountain called �El Avila�. Caracas is in the mountain�s valley, so you can see �El Avila� lengthways and crosswise of the city.
The vegetation of the mountain is Tropical Forest, and it is really beautiful. It has a lot of different kinds of flowers and insects.
Down, in the city, you can see a lot of buildings, streets, cars, busses, and many people running from one site to another one.
There is also a very touristy place on the mountains, called �Colonia Tovar�. It is very cold up there, but the view is amazing; you can see all the city from there. Also, there is the custom to eat strawberries with custard and drink hot chocolate. This place does not belong to Caracas but it is very near from it.....so, people can go for one day or for a weekend.
