| Daniel Antunovich was born in Auckland, New Zealand in October 1983. After studying music at an early age, he began learning the Bass Guitar during high school, under the tutorage of Alberto Santarelli. Learning mostly jazz and fusion styles, Daniel also got involved with several rock bands, including "OutaNowhere", a highly praised group that recieved solid airplay of their single, "No Rest for the Wicked". In 2001 he began a Bachelor of Music (jazz) degree at Auckland University, before moving to Massey University to continue the degree in 2002. Daniel has gigged and recorded with many prominent Auckland musicians, including Dave Ngawhika, John Key, Barbie Davidson and the Brian Henderson quartet, Solomon Cole plus many more. As a skilled and versatile player, Daniel hopes to make the move overseas within the next few years to pursue his goal of becoming a world renowned bassist, and continues to record and play weekly while attaining his degree. |
