| BABY Danny's lower body was denuded at birth. His toe nails were missing. For the first two years of his life he did not wear anything. He was kept on a decubicare pad in a plastic infant seat with a soft piece of material loosely draped over him. He was carried and bathed in this seat to prevent trauma to his skin. |
| DANNY'S LICENSE PLATE Danny's Uncle Jim made the license plate for his electric wheelchair. He loved it because it had his name and birth date on it. |
| WATER BABY When Danny turned three, I thought he was looking almost normal and he had gained a lot of weight. From birth until then, he was on Decadron Elixir, 1/4 tsp. every 12 hours. Decca Spray was put on the open lesions. One day I took him to his Doctor and it was found that he should have been taken off the Decadron much earlier for he was having side effects, moon face and weight gain. He was tapered off and he lost weight and his skin broke down. |
| DAN'S DRAWING Danny loved his trips to town with his sister, niece and nephew. He loved going through the stores and talking with people. |
| DANNY AT PLAY Danny liked to do the things healthy kids did, such as playing with his cap gun. |

| SWEET BABY This is a picture of the clearest Danny ever was. He was coated with Cordran Ointment then yellow vasolene. He was then wrapped in suran wrap with Kerlix over. He was in these wraps and they were removed at times to let his skin breath. Within two weeks of stopping this treatment, his skin broke down severely. In my personal opinion, steroids are only a short time fix. |
