A forested arena
In every direction, there is nothing but forest.  Even still, it is so
painfully quiet, every movement seems to resonate powerfully. Being careful
not to attract any attention, moving as stealthfully as possible seems to be
the best possible chance of survival.  A small trickle of blood drips from a 
nearby branch. Either these incessant branches have gotten to someone, or
someone's blade has done this.

The deep pine forest clogs everything from view.  The thick branches poke and
prod at armor and skin at every turn. The only motivation to push forward 
through the brush is the thought that any moment, the enemy may lie behind,
tracking every movement. A yell lets out in the distance for help. Another
competitor will likely die.
