Some sort of city lies directly to the west.  Though, by the external view,
it does not look to be relatively safe to proceed in that direction.  Two
towers, probably used as lookout points, have been totally destroyed.  Also,
the gate itself looks to have been effortlessly bashed in from the outside.
Whatever beast did this must have been quite hideous in power.  To the
east stands a silent, eerie darkness...
