| After finishing the first step your cube should look like figure one. The top should be solved and so should the first row. Now in this step we're going to complete the middle row. The middle pieces should be in the right places (if they aren't then just spin the middle row) and all that is left is to place the side pieces. To do this you will have to learn the "super move". This is an 8 step move with many uses. THE KEY TO USING THIS MOVE IS TO CORRECTLY POSITION THE CUBE. In this case we want to use the super move to move a side piece from the bottom row to the middle row without wrecking the cube. this is how to do it: (In this case we want to put the red-yellow side) 1)Locate the piece on the bottom row (later we'll discuss what happens if it is in the middle but in the wrong place) - figure 2 2) Rotate the bottom so that the top face of the side piece is the same color as the middle piece that it is under - figure 3 3) Hold the cube so that the face which has the two maching colors (yellow in this case) is facing you. - step 1 of the super move. 4)Do the super move. |
