Class rules

1.  Each student MUST have access to the textbook.  If you do not have access to the textbook in class, your grade will be reduced.

2. Speak English only in class. Please do not speak Korean in class.

3. Please bring your textbook / a notebook, a pen, a Korean / English Dictionary (if you have one), and paper to every class.

4. Come to class!
Your English will not improve unless you practice. You will lose 2% of your final grade for every class you miss, unless you bring me a  stamped ( ��������ּ��� ) certificate from your faculty office.

5. Come to class on time.
If you are late, come in QUIETLY and sit down.  5 minutes late is okay.  You will receive a 1% reduction of your final grade if you are more than 5 minutes late on 3 occasions.

6. Turn off your cellular phones in class.
Using your cellular phone in class is disruptive to everyone. 
No sending text messages or playing games in class!
Using your cellular phone in class will result in a 1% reduction of your final grade.

7. Be polite in class.
Listen to your teacher when he is talking.
Listen to other students when they are talking.
Do not talk when the teacher is talking.  It is unfair and disruptive to the other students in the class.

8. Participate in class.
Students who work hard in class will receive good grades. Students who do not work hard will not.

9. Have fun and don��t be shy.
Have fun in class and you will not only learn more English, but you will become better at speaking English, too.  Remember, the more you use your language skills, the better you will become at speaking English.

10. If you are a senior student or you are a student who has a valid reason for not attending class, you must contact me personally within the first two weeks of the semester.  At that same time,  you must also submit, to me, a signed, stamped ��������ּ��� letter from your faculty professor, explaining the reason that you cannot attend class.  For example: You have a job / research or related work commitments.  Failure to contact me and submit the letter of extenuating circumstances will result in an F (Fail) grade for this English subject.  Note:  There are no exceptions to this rule.

11. When sending email to me, be sure to use only the following email address. [email protected]  This is the only email account that I correspond with students through.  Be sure to write your English nickname, your class name, your class number, and your student ID number in the email subject window.
