News Update
Neo-Japan Wrestling is born from the ashes of several of the struggling Japanese promotions. Japanese wrestling feds were hurt badly after the formation of the AEWA, and a lot of them quickly went out of business, as their talent was snapped up. A yet to be named backer has bankrolled the creation of the NJW to try and reaffirm Japanese wrestling's position at the top of the industry. The NJW will also be trying to compete and eventually bring down the AEWA which has been the main thorn in the Japanese wrestling industry. The NJW will be focussing on highflying hardcore action to bring in the crowds. A lot of Japanese Indy superstars have been signed to contracts including Tenzan Sasaki, Yojiri Onita, Kakumei Senshi, Bad Blood, Han Zo Man, Hideoh Kanemura and "The Rat" Satoshi Magnum. Master Shogun who had been managing the Black Mamba in the AEWA immediately quit his contract there bringing the highly dangerous former AEWA All-Star Champion Black Mamba with him. He has also signed The highly impressive Japanese Indy pair Shinobi Ohara & Nyogen Sensaki. Shogun & Mamba's defection from the AEWA was followed by White Tiger's sudden resignation from the AEWA. He has signed with the NJW as he seeks to make Shogun pay for his betrayal. Shogun has also attracted more enemies on his arrival. The Ninja Hitmen Fade & Lurk better known as Forced Vengeance, have signed NJW contracts. They hope to destroy Shogun and his new team. The next NJW signings were a bit of a shock as six superstars from the SEW indy fed gatecrashed the NJW. Led by the enigmatic Grimbor, who is still bitter at being dumped by the CPC a few years back. The team are a dangerous group of individuals who look intent on taking over the NJW. Grimbor is joined by Felino, "Electric" Eric Storm, Kama Shango & the tag duo of Gary Kane & Guy Trudeau who are better know as Canadian Uprising. The annoying Jimmy Matua and his valet Crystal signed a contract with the NJW. Matua immediately formed a pact with two other new NJW recruits, Robert Garcia & Damien Lawless. This three man alliance can only mean trouble for the NJW. Lord Humongus the dominant former champion of the now defunct UWA signed a contract with the NJW. He however brought in three sick individuals with him. The very dangerous Super Leatherface & the impressive if sick indy team Vault of Horror (Jason The Terrible, Freddy the Nightmare). This quartet could well end some careers here in the NJW. Two other notable signing include two of the more exciting upcoming young superstars. The Midnight Kid who had been impressing in the now defunct japanese fed JRW, and "Wonderkid" Jonny Storm who surprised many by turning down a CPC contract in favour of the NJW. These two superstars will be worth keeping an eye on as the NJW gets under way. The very dangerous three man team "The Burning" who had been terrorising the JRW have just signed to appear in the NJW. Their arrival has unnerved a few wrestlers as the team are renowned for their viciousness during their JRW days. After the sucess of the NJW's first PPV Crowning of champions several new signings were said to be close to completion. The Triad of WGX fame have signed a pre-contract agreement to appear at the next NJW card. This is a major coup for the NJW as Tetagami, Kibagami & Hoichiro are all highly talented wrestlers. Kibagami & Hoichiro (The Shogunate) Will have their sights set on the newly crowned NJW tag champs Ultra Spank. Breaking news...The ICOF tag team the Ming Dynasty (Shanghai & Mandarin) have signed to appear in the NJW. They will be making their debut in the upcoming weeks. They have already began a war of words with the other recent arrivals Kibagami & Hoichiro. Could these two new teams be on a collision course?? More news will appear here as it happens................
