The game has ended. We know who won, who lost and what is the most inportant thing... who was The Mole. For 3 months the group of 12 people was fighting for the ultimate prize, which could grow up to $1,000,000. However not all the challenges were won, because among the players there was The Mole!
Oct 28th (Sunday 6 pm GTM):
HOST: "I've been expecting you... Why? Well the answer is very simple. Because I have a challenge for you. But before I give you the challenge I need you to choose 6 people that are good at playing games. The sooner you decide, the sooner you'll get the challenges. Good Luck!"
After few minutes the decision has been made. Anthony posted who he wanted to be in the Games team. Those poeple were: Anthony, Mark, Steven, Rachael, David and Robbie. Soon after the dicision has been made both groups received their own challenges:
 |
HOST: "Ok I see that decision has been made. The six chosen contestants will recieve their assigment shortly. As for the rest of you I have a challenge for you. And this challenge is worth $100,000! I need you to decode a phrase: "XMO'KA TMI A NZW UQQHR NOL, ZEYCP QMVGVSR" It won't be that easy so I'll give a small clue: "Doggett=QMVGVSR" Because i'm in a good mood today I'll give you a change to buy additional clues. However to get those clues you'll have to buy and answer a question. There are four questions and four clues. To get one question you'll have to sacrifice $5,000 from this challenges pot. If you answer correcty you win a clue. If, however, you answer incorrectly you lose $15,000 form this challenges pot. The only chance to get the lost clue after you answer incorrectly is by sacrificing another $5,000 from this challenges pot. Now there's one additional rule I ask you NOT to break: You can't contact and ask for help the other group (the one that's playing games). If such a cooperation is found you lose the challenge. If someone finds out that such a cooperation took place and gives me a proof this person wins 3 bonus questionnaire points. Is everything clear? All right then let's begin! You time till Friday 6pm GMT to complete this challege! Good luck!"
The other team received their challenge through E-Mail:
 |
HOST: "Now your challenge is preety simple. All you need to do is play six different games. You have to win (by getting enough points) five out of six games. Here are the games you can choose from:
JTBlocks - 20000 points
Pyramids - 15000 points
Spelldown - 150 points
Tornado 21 - 250 points
Dice Slider - 1500 points
Mahjong Solitaire - 25000 points
Everyone has to choose one game he/she wants to play and in which order (first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth) he/she wants to play the game. When you choose games you'll be contacted with further instructions. This challenge is worth 50,000$ and you have time till Wendesday 6pm GMT to complete it."
After the order has been chosen the first person received an additional briefing: "You've chosen JTBlocks. In a moment I'll give you a new YahooID and a password for it. Using this ID you have to win the game you've chosen. Using this ID you can only try TWO times to win a game. When you finish playing your game send me a message through Yahoo!Messenger and I'll give this ID to the next person. Good luck!"
Both teams worked very hard on their challenges. The CODEBREAKERS were able to decode the message very fast. It took them one day to do it. Here's what happened:
After the start of the game Lisa, Jenni, Jennifer and Amy started to mail each other back and forth. Lisa wanted to buy a clue, however Jenni wanted to try to brak the code on her own. Jenni tried to decipher the code by herself but with no luck. Meanwhile Alison found out that the first words of the code are YOU'RE. Jenni and Michael tried to decipher the code using a porgram. It didn't work. On Monday Jennifer, Michael, Jenni met in a chat. Jennifer figured out the code sequence. She also found out that in the phrase in 'AGENT DOGGETT'. Jenni found the code very quickly but made few errors. Michael suggested that Jenni makes to many mistakes. Jennifer agreed. Finally they camed with the code sequence. Jenni wanted to have 26 in the number sequence but Michael said it was actually zero. That way they camed with the pattern which was: '1 2 6 11 4 13 2 11 0 9'. This pattern solved the code. Michael suggested to post the answer ASAP before someone from their group buys a question. Jennifer told Mike to do it.
Michael then posted the answer on the board, which was "YOU'VE GOT A WAY ABOUT YOU AGENT DOGGETT". The answer was correct, therefore, $100,000 went into the groups kitty. Hovewer the GAMERS had problems whit winning their challenge.
Stevn decided to go first and wanted to play JTBlocks. He got only 9155 points out of required 20000. Next was Robbie who also lost his game (Tornado 21). He got 218/250 points. So only 32 points kept him from winning the game. At this point the game was already lost... But no one knew about it and the other players kept playing their games. Next was Rachael with Dice Slider. She only got 490/1500 points!
On Monday Mark was the first one who actually WON a game. He played Spelldown and got 178/150 points! However 1 out of 6 games won is not enough to win the whole challenge. Next was David... However David haven't used the ID I gave him to play his game (Mahjong Solitaire) but his own ID. He found out about it 2 hours before the challenges end.
Between 4pm and 4:30pm GMT each player who lost their game received a small proposition. David was first. I told him that he doesn't have to play his game again to win it. This however would cost the group $10,000 from the kitty. David agreed. His game was won but $10,000 was taken from the kitty. Next was Robbie. He needed only 32 more points to win his game. I offered him a chance to buy those points. Each point costed him $500. He agreed. Another game won. However Steven and Rachael who would receive the same propositions didn't appear.
If they did and agreed to buy their missing points, $40,000 would be taken from the kitty, but $50,000 would be won. So the kitty would stand at $110,000.
Anthony who wanted to go 6th didn't appear and didn't play his game. At 7:30pm GMT the group found out about the result of the GAMES challenge. The kitty stands now at $74,000.
On Wednesday they received their first questionnaires. They had to answer ten questions about the identity of THE MOLE. The person who scored the lowest had to leave the game.
David: "I suspect an american female.. just because!"
Jenni: "Rachael sticks out right now! I don't know why, she hasn't been around much. I guessed on everything but the MOLE. I haven't have a clue so far."
Michael: "I suspect that the Mole is Jen (jdgrnfly) She's very smart and capable and had a good handle on the code challenge yet almost messed it up... I think that I will survive this round. I had a good quiz strategy and most likely someone will not turn their quiz in."
Robbie: "I have no clue AT ALL who I have to suspect. I have no clue what happened in the other challenge. Maybe it's one of the people who lost their game in the Games challenge. But then again, I lost too, PLUS wasted money on it!!"
Mark: "Michael, because he won the team their challenge, and I think thats just to put everyone off the scent. I also think his film and book choices are clues that he is the mole. I want David out."
Steven: "Do I think I will survive the elimination, I would say that there is a good chance of me surviving (hopefully). Since this is my 4th Mole based game I would like to think that I have the experience factor on my side. To be totally honest with you, if there is one person that I want to leave...it will be Ant. The reason why I want him to leave is that I simply do not trust him after that situation in The Calamitus."
Rachael: "I was totally unprepared for some of the questions so due to my lack of knowledge of the people i'll be suprised if i stay."
Lisa: "Somehow, I think that the Mole is someone from the "Games" team. And on Wendesday Anthony had to play his game but didn't even appear. So, this increased my suspicions. Is he just pretending to be the Mole or is he sabotaging the team on purpose?"
Alison: "Last to join both clubs, one he didn't even bother to post in. He is second in lowest number of posts. Never even posted in the club he got his application from. Gemini. Just my thought right now, if I'm wrong, I guess I'm gone."
Anthony: "The first week I feel is always tha hardest week, in terms of mole hunting, I placed myself in a team where I didn;t the get the chance to know the other players. OK so perhaps I DO know the other players, but what i mean is that I didn;t get the chance to see if they had mole potenical. I really don't think any of them could be capable of being the mole in the mole, and i woudn't place thier loses to sabotage, as my game (Pyrmaids) was mostly down to luck, to actually see if there was room for sabotage, then i would have to play ALL 6 games and that would take to long."
Amy: "I think David is the Mole..Only because he gave up money so easily to win his part of the Games Challenge"
Jennifer: "I have absolutely no idea. I filled out the quiz around Mike because he acted a little weird during the codebreaker challenge. He tried really hard to make Jenni look suspicious when he was doing the same thing she was. Also I think it's kinda weird that he didnt correct people when they thought he solved the code"
On Saturday the elimination has begun! They all received their elimination programs through E-Mail with this message:
"You've all taken the quiz. Ten questions about the identity of The Mole. The person who scored the lowest on the quiz wil be eliminated today. In a event of a tie the person who was the slowest to take the quiz will leave. Today we do have a tie, so the person who was the slowest is going home. In a moment you'll all open your elimination programs. You'll begin entering your names into the computer (enter name then press enter, all names are written at the top of the application). If a green screen appears after your name has been entered you remain to the game... If however a red screen appears after your name has been entered you're The Mole's first victim. You'll have to leave the game immediately. Good Luck!"
When the players opened their programmes they've seen this (the screen right).
Then it was time to write names. I began with Alison:

ANTHONY

ROBBIE

JENNI

JENNIFER

MICHAEL

STEVEN

RACHAEL

Rachael wa eliminated.
