January 2002- I started babysitting for Cody who is 8 years old. We have done several things together. We went to the zoo, the mall, and he went riding four wheelers with my David. He is sensitve about animals and we had a tradgedy with the hamster that he witnessed. She had gotten out of her ball because the lid was loose, and the kitten ate her. He went with us to pick out a new hamster that we named Armando. He is a black bear hamster that is rare and expensive. Yesterday we went to church together with a friend of David and I at Church of Acts. I talked to the preacher to find out more about the church. They believe much the same as I do. They are not any denomination, and they do not have a doctrine. They are strictly by the Holy Bible and its teachings. I know what the preacher, A.J. Norman said is true that I will have to observe them for awhile and pray.
February 2002- Me, David, and Cody went to The Church of Acts this past weekend. One of the elders of the church has the gift of prophesy. He was prophesing to some in the congregation when I thought to pray for some guidence for myself. I asked God what he wanted to tell me. No sooner than I finished and the gentleman finished talking to the little boy Grant the gentleman headed my way. He told me that God was directing me to knew understandings. Which was true. I had been trying to test the teachings of the church to what was in the Bible and if I should believe in speaking in tongues, prophesing, and other such things that my Baptist churches did not teach. He also spoke to David, who knows the gospel and sometimes more about christianity than I do but rejects God, that God wanted to make him a man of God. Not as a preach but just a man of God.
I had to believe the man for neither of us spoke to him before of these things. |
