Places we stayed/ visited: Kiel canal, the ship
Memorable event: The people around the locks of the kiel canal all came out to see us, carring flags and even a fully uniformed German band! People where gathering from all over to come and see us go through. apparently this is the largest ship to go through the canal this year startingup the summer season of travel. which is suposeaedly a big deal in Germany.
Notes: Today stared okay, except taht i din't sleep well on a moving boat. we ate breakfest at 7:00 and then went to church (or a chirstian like service). then we stayed and watched a tour presentation which turned out to be really boaring so much that we left and took a good long nap before lunch. after lunch we walked about untill 1:00 when we went hot tubbing, yes all 8 of us (a rather funny site to see actualy, 8 people in one small hot tub) Then the ship started going though the locks, which was really cool, (see above event note). after some time of watching these people watch us, we got dressed for dinner (dressed up for tonight) we ate at the Italian restraunt, then I went and took pictures of the canal before it got too dark. Around 9:30 I went and watched a really good juggling show, by this rather famous juggling artist, but for the life of me can't remember his name, i just know he works in vegas. any way his act was amazing, he did everything from juggle 6 balls at a time to juggling a bowling ball, a hatchet, and a bag all at the same time. givin that he dose this for a living i dont doubt that he gets plently of practice. afterwards grandma and I stayed and watched the old... excuse me well experinced people dance then headed to bed. I haven't been sleeping well i hope i do this evening. |
