HAPPY ENDING VS. SAD ENDINGS: WHICH IS BETTER?

Have you ever picked up a book that looked interesting to you, read it, and then got to the end and hated the ending because it was too sad? Maybe the main character dies, or the couple you thought would fall in love didn't; either way, it's not the ending you expected.

Or, have you ever been disappointed with a book's ending because it was too happy (Maybe a criminal who is a hardened killer suddenly changes his ways and becomes a priest, or maybe two people who completely hate each other throughout the book suddenly fall in love in the last chapter). So Which is better? The Happy Ending or The Sad Ending.

Let's look at the pros and cons. Happy Ending: the pros are that it makes the reader feel good. The cons are that happy endings often lack realism, and can lead you feeling unsatisfied in the end. The best part about sad endings is that many of them are realistic. However, leaving the reader sad in the end can feel equally unsatisfying, even if it is realistic.

So in the end, it's up to the reader to determine which type they like best, As for myself, I prefer realistic endings, meaning that they can be either happy or sad as long they fit into reality. I am not too fond of surprise endings that don't connect with the story. For now though, happy endings appear to be the preferred choice of most readers.

Our Top Feature Books

Alright, here is some good bedtime reading.

1. The Oprah & Dr. Phil Connection Now for everyone who is an Oprah or Dr. Phil fan, you will want this book on your bookshelf. It is not just a chronology of the lives of Oprah and Dr. Phil, but it goes in depth with interviews and close-ups on how they helped each other. Of course, also of interest is Dr. Phil's life story in this book. His childhood and 1st Marriage are among the many topics covered. So, get your coffee, find yourself a nice place to sit or lie down, and enjoy this exciting piece of history.

2. Engaging The Enemy Yes, if you haven't already read this novel, this work features two of Roberts' early stories, but this book draws appeal because of its plot: The woman falling in love with her nemesis. Of course the heroine and her love interest don't operate from the same side of the field, even though they're facing the same danger. Nora Roberts does a good job in this novel

3. The Julia Roberts Story For all of the hype, Julia's book is actually very interesting. It makes you forget about her fame, and concentrate on the tragic events of her childhood, her frayed relationship with her brother, actor Eric Roberts, and a lot of other stuff you'd be surprised to know. It's a nice read.

Letters To The Editor

Here is feedback from our readers!

, that’s good:))

I have just received The Julia Roberts Story by my favorite author, G.J. Fuller, thanks to your Website. I started a collection of his books a while back and I needed that one to complete my collection. Your book recommendations have always been helpful to me, and I have never regretted reading any of your selections. So I just wrote to say thanks.

~Disappointed~
Charisma, Inc. was the first book I've read by Ruth Glick, and was extremely disappointed, as she is such a popular author. Although not horrible, this book had unconvincing characters and a predictable plot. The whole time I found myself thinking that the author should have stuck to her ideals and could have done better. However, I know that some people might like this book, and I have personal reasons why I don't.

WORDS OF THE WISE

The old saying is true, that you cannot judge a book by its cover, because sometimes, what is on the inside is more beautiful than what is on the outside, and it's the inside that counts.

Featured Beauty Book

A SUCCESS STORY

………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………… Last Month, I received a flood of emails from ladies praising this beauty guide I'm about to reveal that has literally changed their appearance. Our readers have gotten compliments from theirs bosses, husbands, friends, children, coworkers, strangers, etc. So let's talk about this beauty guide some more.

First of all, I'm glad it has helped so many of you look younger. I admit, I was shocked when I viewed many of the before and after pictures you sent to me. I'm glad to see that something FINALLY has the answers to WRINKLES and ACNE. Anyway, If you are like most women (or men), you are not always comfortable with the way you look. You probably have tried powders, creams, and the "miracle" products on TV. with no great results. Nobody wants wrinkles, fine lines, pimples, etc. We are all, in some way, looking for the PERFECT skin miracle. It took me many mistakes before I finally learned the truth - that the true fountain of youth wasn't some magical powder or "super-cream." I've been in the beauty research field for a few years now and the closest and least expensive thing to the fountain of youth that I have found is The Guide: Take Care of Your Skin Inexpensively, Fight Wrinkles Too

Ladies, it is complete, accurate, and helpful. From acne to wrinkles, it can solve a wide range of problems - it's no fluke. And what I personally like about it most is that it provides easy to follow step-by-step instructions.
 JOKE OF THE MONTH

Depressed? Maybe this will give you a laugh:

  • "Darling," said the swooning man to his new bride. "Now that we are married, do you think you will be able to live on my small income?"

"Of course, dearest, no trouble," she said. "But what will you live on?"

Featured Product Of The Day

Due to such positive feedback from our readers, we cannot ignore our readers huge satisfaction with this beauty guide Take Care of Your Skin Inexpensively, Fight Wrinkles Too

Get your coffee or tea, find yourself a nice place to sit or lie down, and get the look you want, without the costs. I have a feeling this guide won't stay a secret very long. I am also happy that many of us women finally have help for our beauty issues.

What To Do When You Wrongfully Get a Speeding Ticket
Written by Donna Wilson,
contributing editor

Most of us at one time or another have gotten a speeding ticket in our lives. I know because I've gotten a "few" myself just rushing to work everyday. There have been times when I feel I wasn't speeding and still I got a ticket. Know that feeling? Anyway, what I learned is that many speeding infractions are caused by the Police Officer's faulty radar. So if you think you've been wrongfully charged, then you CAN fight it by appearing in traffic court. You might be surprised to know that most women who challenge the tickets WIN.

ADVERTISING 101~ "Tips on Marketing Your Products"

If you're anything like me, you're interested in making some money on the internet. And you might even have a good product in mind, but you don't know how to sell it. It doesn't take special talents that you don't have. All it really takes is a willingness to learn, and the ability to act on what you learn. Here are some starter tips:

1. Have a website with good CONTENT: Content is the key word here. Let people know why they should buy your product and how it benefits them. The better the content, the more the sales. 2. Encourage people to tell others about your product. This is called 'viral marketing.' This occurs when people like your product so much that they tell others, and so on. A good example of this is the mega-popular beauty guide: Take Care of Your Skin Inexpensively, Fight Wrinkles Too. People have been so satisfied with their appearance after using that guide that they told their friends, who told others, and now that guide has become known as THE CURE for wrinkles, aging, and so on . . .

3. Don't wait for potential customers to come to your website, go get them yourself! The favored way to do this is through Opt-In (not unsolicited) email campaigns. To do this you include a tell-a-friend form (these can be found for F~r~e~e on the net) on your site allowing visitors to subscribe to receive your promotional ads. This method, when not abused, is very effective.

Hope these tips have helped you understand marketing some.

STRESS ALERET: ~ "Is Yoga BETTER Than Prescription Medication?"

Many of us suffer from stress everyday. Whether it's a problem on our job, sickness, or taking care of children, it sometimes feels like we can't escape stress. Stress also contributes to serious conditions like heart attacks and strokes. So what can we do about it?

According to a recent study in Ladies Home Journal, Yoga -- yes, no joke -- might be more effective than any prescription medications you might take now, or in the future. This is how it works: Yoga offers us a way to safely release our emotions, which, in turn, decreases our tension and reduces stress.

It may help cut down on those medical bills, which would be a good thing, wouldn't it?

Rumors: "Fact or Fiction?"

The latest rumor surrounds the book we've heard a lot from you readers about: Take Care of Your Skin Inexpensively, Fight Wrinkles Too.

We have had some feedback that suggests that celebrities
Cher, & Courtney Cox have used the techniques described in the book to say "young." While all of these ladies certainly look glamorous for their age, and given that it is a possibility that these ladies have benefited from the techniques the book describes, our editorial department is looking into this, and if or when we find the answer, we will inform you.

ENTERTAINMENT News: "HER LIFE WAS A MYSTERY, UNTIL NOW"

Meg Ryan's 1st Biography Released

The Meg Ryan Story was recently released, featuring "never-revealed" information about the actress's life.

Now while it's not overly long (around 90 pages), it packs a lot of information into a medium sized book. I found this book entertaining because it contained surprising information about the actress's life that I didn't know. In this book Meg Ryan is captured in her many coats: as an actress, as a mother, and as a wife. The reasons behind her failed marriage to actor Dennis Quiad, and the truth about her subsequent secret romance with actor Russell Crowe make good bedtime reading.

Money News:~ "why Savings Bonds Are Good Investments"

If You're thinking about saving, don't overlook savings bonds. While they do take several years to accumulate interest, there are three good reasons why you should consider them.

1. Savings Bonds are SAFE. They are backed by the full faith and credit of the
United States. They are also registered, so the Treasury can replace them if they are lost, torn, or stolen.

2. They are AFFORDABLE. For as little as $25, you can start saving money via bonds. If you want to, you can purchase as much as $15,000 worth of series EE bonds each year.

3. They are CONVENIENT. You can buy them at the workplace, bank, and even online.

I hope this has helped you if you should consider investing in savings bonds.

Good Day,
Cara
