security becomes an issue, existing contracts between industry and suppliers are superceded by government intervention and direction. But, in times of national poverty the rhetoric continues while action is delayed. After 6 months into an ongoing fuel crisis, we still have double-talk here at home - 6 months without resolutions.
You would think there would be room in a just society for government intervention (Howcroft's suggestions are to the contrary) for the common good. Government should actively intervene especially if industry does pay a fuel surcharge to their supplier manufacturing plants, yet these supplier plants are not passing this fuel surcharge onto their independent rig owners.
Likewise, truckers should not slow the common business person or factory labourer coming and going to and from work along the 401. They need to realize that we all are with them in this crisis and together we are uncertain that any relief will come, as well as apprehensive about our ability to survive this winter, when attitudes such as Howcroft's have historically prevailed.
So, if some Arab countries are slowing oil production, (thereby skyrocketing the prices), AND some Palestinians and Jews are warring like angry juveniles or Alpha Apes (not focused on loving-kindness), AND the commonwealth of nations say they need the Arabian oil (even though many nations also highly regulate their own exporting prices, which in some ways exploits their own people, when they refuse to sell it more affordably to their own) - then by all means, some-sort of settlement is definitely needed in all that-kind-of mess. Or, the alternative is more fighting and escalating warfare. But, in the Spirit, you cannot justify such angry stands as being Biblical or a valid stand of faith. It's not. It's 2-year old stuff. It does NOT have God's blessing. It's not spiritually and morally right. There is no love there. Plain an' simple, it's not part of the New Heavens and the New Earth. Anyone with only a tiny bit of Spiritual discernment can see what's lacking, even with blurry Spiritual eyes. And, remember - I, myself am the stupidest of people, bereft of human intelligence and don't have all the answers, yet God is my shield.
Back in 1607-1609 one of the sections that wasn't cut out of the Bible still says today that God is love. God is Spirit. And, the sword of the spirit can even divide between what is soul (and where the mind and heart are in the Alpha Ape to Omega Man refinement scale within the soul) and what is spirit. The common man has come a long way. We tend not to take matters of deception and exploitation lightly.
So, besides noticing a lot of political and religious leadership-type lip-service getting all bent-out-of-shape throughout history, let's ask ourselves; "Is it possible that our Spirit and spiritual growth has been limited, belittled, withheld, undernourished and underdeveloped as a result of the whole historically rampant, overpowering abundance of lip-service rather than service from the heart?" The answer is a resounding, "Yes!" And, for examples of twisted, incomplete, underdeveloped, limited, biased abominations and utterings of shallow souls throughout time, that have repeatedly caused desolation, we only have to look at the examples of marriage, and hear back common married people's responses to gain the awareness that many commoners don't even know what they're talking about, yet are so quick to judge. And yet, this whole marriage issue is so simple that even a child could understand...
Example 1: A question.
When a man and a woman (as is traditionally the case) goes to the front of a synagogue, or a church, or a ship's captain's office, or a judges chambers, and the priest, minister, reverend, pastor, rabbi, officer, or judge says, "The two shall become one," what do you think he/she meant?
The two shall become one, let not man put asunder what God has joined... Hmmm, very interesting. Are the two at the front both gonna become Homo's? Or, perhaps they're both gonna become Lesbians? Maybe it's just a figure of speech? Or, was he/she talking about a Spiritual thing? The answer is: It was first and foremost spiritual. The two shall become one is a spiritual thing - something precious in the sight of God that those with Spiritual eyes can see. It is part of the spirituality of the New Heavens and the New Earth where I don't think gender distinctions play a very heavy role (just in |
