CFS3 "Battle for Europe"

Official Website for CFS3 is on-line. Visit it here screenshots, movies, nose art ground objects etc.

Extra website, CFS Insider. Features more information including most importantly the announcement about the forthcoming patch.

CFS3 is now  and already many reviews of the game are springing up all over the internet. Two good ones are available from www.simviation.com under the Combat Flight Simulator section and www.simHQ.com. There is also much discussion about the game on the netwings CFS3 forum.

CFS3 is the newest and (supposedly) best flight simulator engine that Microsoft will have produced when it goes on general release in the Autumn of 2002. It has primarily been optimized for high speed flight at low level, tactical combat and multiplayer gaming. As it is set in the European Theatre the majority of the missions will probably be low level bombing raids such as pre D-Day attacks by B25 bombers and Hawker Typhoon fighter bombers. The game also has a new campaign structure and the ability for more than one person to operate on an aircraft during multiplayer combat/missions.

I am going to develop add-ons for CFS3 but until such time as the scenery SDK is released (Spring 2003) I am going to concentrate on getting my CFS2 add-ons complete and creating a large library of buildings for use on airfields

Aircraft

Scenery

There will be much more in the way of SDK's being released by the team and the dedicated website for CFS3 will be used much more to give out information on how to create add-ons etc. The aircraft SDK is currently available as well as an object SDK.

If you want to try and influence the teams decisions on areas of CFS3's development then you can e-mail your comments to:
