Computer Chips

There is alot of arguement over the aftermarket computer chips.  Many say its a waste of money.  Most people think they can just plug a chip into a stock car and feel a big difference.  These aftermarket "superchips" work best on modified cars especially when dyno tuned for the maximum performance.
Superchips inc. makes a chip for the V6 Mustang and they claim that it adds 10hp and 20 lb/ft of torque.  The chip also remaps fuel and ignition curves, removes rev. and speed limiters and also improves shifting in automatics.
Chips are very easy to install, simply plug them in.  I have seen them for $265 from Calimornia mustang and $240 from need for speed.

MSD DIS Ignitions

The newer Mustangs use a distributorless ignition system.  To upgrade the performance of the ignition in a V6 you can add a MSD Digital DIS-4 ignition system.
These ignition boxes feature a race proven capacitive discharge nd multiple spark design with enhanced spark energy for powerfull reliable performance.
One of these ignitions will cost bout $340 from vendors such as Jegs and Summit.
Note:  To hook up these ignitions properly on a V6 stang you will also need to buy two MSD tach adapters.  They cost about $43 from Summit.
