Prerequisites: Since this class will be taught in English, some basic ability to understand and speak English will be required. It is your responsibility to understand the lectures. Of course you are encouraged to ask me any questions regarding English. Everyone should have an email account. Email is the most efficient way to communicate with me. I encourage you to come to see me during my office hours if you have any questions. If the office hours are not convenient for you, we can arrange another time.
Objectives (Motivation): Mathematics has been developed in the West. Using only Korean to study mathematics might not be efficient. There are many Korean universities teach mathematics in English. You will benefit from this class to prepare for collage level mathematics course.
What can you expect from this course? : Again, this course will be taught in English. I will help you to improve your English skill
Homework: There will be
some short homework assignments everyday. You are encouraged to discuss
homework problems with other students, but you should write up your solutions
independently. No Late Homework will be
accepted. You can turn in your homework assignments by email.
Quizzes : There will a
short quiz every Thursday(end of the class). You have 10 minutes to finish the
quiz.
Class Web Site: I will regularly post announcements and assignments on the course
website. You may need Adobe Acrobat Reader to see some documents on
the web site.
