| This haunting tale tells the story of an unfinished creation, Edward Scissorhands, who due to the untimely death of his creator is left with scissors for hands. A kindly Avon lady, Peg Bloggs,decides to take him under her wing and Edwrad ends up in the midldle of candy lane suburbia. He's a sure hit with the neighbours, proving not only to be a first class hedge sculptor but a hairdresser as well. But soon the novelty wears off and when Edward is framed for a crime, the neighbours turn against him. In the end Edward bids suburbia goodbye as he retreats back to the mansion where he was first found, but not before saying goodbye to Kim, Peg's daughter, with whom he has fallen in love with. This is a outstanding movie, but then again what can we expect when Tim Burton is involved. Danny Elfman's beautiful score and Johnny Depp's superb acting ability make this a timeless classic which will be watched again and again. |
