RATS!
Welcome to the first page of ALL RATS ALL THE TIME!  Enjoy your stay!
Fernard Felicity and Vanessa
This is Vanessa and Felicity, a pair of agouti dwarf rat sisters - I put in the lighter to give you an idea of their size.  They aren't fully grown in this picture, but they didn't get much larger than this.  These two little monkeys are such a hoot - very personable and sweet, they wrap everyone they meet around their little paws.  If I don't find a fawn rex, I may consider marrying one of them to my Fernard.  They both have adorable little head spots, which you may or may not be able to see clearly in this picture.
This is Fernard, who is a Cinnamon Agouti - this is, in my opinion, one of the loveliest shades of agouti.  I would love to get a nice fawn rex girl to be this guy's wife; he is extraordinarily sweet and very healthy.
Girard
Sophie
This is Ghirardelli aka Girard, a chocolate Dumbo who was bred and born here.  He is Lilith x Jack and Lilith is Daisy Kate x Hershey from Mary Wilson in North Carolina (Lilith is one of the Hershey's Kisses).  Yes, Jack from the story on the home page is this little cutie's father :-)  This little fellow is one of the most hyper boys I have ever seen, rarely stopping for even a second - it is very difficult to get a picture of him, but as you can see, I managed to succeed.  I hope to breed him to a little sweetie I bred from Stormy x Dustin that I called Bobbin who shares a similar personality and market the babies as Mexican Jumping Rats - I think they'll be huge :-)
This is Sophie, a lovely beige dumbo.  She is Girard's sister, so also Lilith x Jack, granddaughter of Daisy Kate x Hershey.  She was bred to Dusty in August of 2004 and we expect babies in Sept. of 2004 and we will probably breed her one more time before she is 18 months old.  Isn't she a gorgeous little thing?  She, like her brother, never stays still and we expect she will have naughty children, too.  :-)
Naughty Dotty . . .
Slash
This is Mrs. Brown's Lovely Daughter aka Dotty.  Isn't she adorable?  We've considered breeding her to /Rat.Com, keeping in mind that they are both high white and that this would be a high risk breeding.  This is why we are hesitating.  But she is a sweet and healthy little thing and so adorable, don't you think?  And very mischievous, as you can see - and she "helps" me take this picture by grabbing my camera strap . . .
Here is /Rat.Com aka Slash, our hero rat.  Isn't he the loveliest thing you've ever seen?  He is one of the most unusual looking rats we've ever run across and once again, we truly hope to breed from him if we have the opportunity.  *knock on wood* he has been very healthy and has a wonderful personality, albeit a bit shy.  Of course our problem is that we have a lot of truly wonderful eligible bachelors and very few maidens to choose from - but we're hoping we can find him a good wife.  :-)
Stormy
Yang and Nermal
This is Stormy - she is one of my favorite ratty girls (sshh - don't tell all the rest of my favorite ratty girls LOL).  She's an American blue, but of course the colors don't show up very well in pictures - she's a lovely little thing.  This picture was taken 4 weeks after she'd had a litter of babies - she looks good, doesn't she?  I take good care of my momma rats to make sure they don't lose condition.  I hope to have one more litter out of her, as she has gorgeous babies.  She has a very sweet, calm and dignified demeanor - very lady-like.
What photo page of mine would be complete without showing you Nermal and Yang, a pair of truly adorable dumbos?  Nermal is a chocolate and Yang is blue.  Neither of these boys is suitable for breeding, however.  Both are unbelievably sweet, however.  Nermal is very protective of his cagemates - when Yang became laden with testoterone and began beating on the hairless boys that also inhabited the cage, Nermal flipped him over and sat on him for a good five minutes until Yang calmed down, then went over to check on Winston and Sisko.  It was the sweetest thing I have ever seen.  Of course, then Yang started beating on Nermal, so I had to remove him.  It is because of this aggression toward other rats that Yang is unfit for breeding, despite his extreme sweetness toward people.  Nermal, on the other hand, despite his extremely sweet nature toward other rats, has a neurological disorder in his bloodline - his sister Loretta was hit with it when she was about 2 months old.  She is still with us, but her head shakes uncontrollably and she cannot walk a straight line.   Pity, isn't it?  Look at them - are they not the most adorable things you've ever seen in your LIFE?  *sigh*
