The Indian Head side of a Buffalo Nickle, carved from pine.   Approx. 11 inches in diameter, stained with golden oak and finished with several coats of lacquer.  In the picture on the right, the nickle has captured the glare of the afternoon sun.  Carved in Winter, 2004.

The praying hands relief was carved in 1980 from a 2x12 pine board.   The Nitty Lion was carved from a 2x10 pine board for a Texas neighbor in Winter, 2002.
