10 Trips for Frequent Travellers

1.) Examine your schedule carefully
Know ahead of time where small nodules of time are situated in your schedule. On the average, you will need periods of 30-45 minutes in divided doses every day to stay sharp. If possible, try to arrange meetings according to your regular schedule at home to have the same lucidity as you would at home.
2.) Pack appropriately for exercise
Packing the right equipment (comfortable walking shoes, tennis shoes, shorts, rackets, etc) will encourage you to use them regularly.
3.) Use hotels where working out is easy
If possible, stay where there are good fitness facilities.
4.) Exercise and eat in preparation for travel
Studies at the Johnson Space Centre have demonstrated that physical exercise (the day of the flight) helps release potassium into the blood, thus compensating losses resulting from flight immobility. For shorter trips of two to three days, try to stick to your hours at home in order not to have to adapt twice in as many days.
5.) Reserve an aisle seat in the non-smoking section
Use the aisle seat to best advantage by going for a walk around the cabin every 3040 minutes, breathing slowly and deeply, stretching your arms and legs as you go.
6.) Watch what you eat on the plane
Always order (24 hours in advance) a low salt, low-fat or vegetarian meal. Always keep a piece of fresh fruit or nuts in your carry-on bag in case no healthy snacks are offered.
7.) Avoid dehydration
Use the same strategy as the flight crew: drink at least one glass of orange juice every hour you are awake.
8.) Keep your blood circulating
Prior to dozing off, do a few arm lifts: using the arm rests, lift yourself off the seat several times.
9.) Upon landing, eat and drink properly
Take lots of fresh fruit and drink fresh water.
10.) Never go to bed without having exercised
Vital organs (including the brain) will be provided with well-circulated blood richly saturated with oxygen.

Now that you know the 10 most important things to do on a trip, travelling should be easier.
Keep healthy and happy travelling!
