Erminger's paintings have in common his singular style using
flat-colored, "hard-edge" shapes that deliver a composition as
well as an image. His work can be viewed as a study in light value beyond
the apparent portrait.
His style is influenced more by writers than artists. Edward Abbey and
Jack Kerouac depicted their environments using distinct features that set
presence of person and place. He has translated this through his
perception of color, texture, shadow and scale.
His photography reflects the composition of his paintings. Published
images can be seen in magazines, newspapers, CD covers, headshots, theatre
posters and band press packs.
A graduate of the University of Central Florida, Erminger has
displayed his artwork at several Florida shows, galleries and restaurants,
as well as numerous art galleries
in the Southwest located in Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Taos, Denver, Boulder
and Phoenix.
Erminger works out of Prima Gallery located in downtown Orlando.
Erminger is the artist that created the controversial "Fridge Henge"
sculpture, a stone henge replica created with refrigerators in downtown
Orlando
