Happy Birfday to Roo (16 sept 02)

This past weekend might've included a 13 on a Friday, but there was no bad luck for me, at least.

After being apart for 10 days, beloved Jennyroo was home for the weekend to celebrate her 20th birthday and for us to celebrate 4 (yes, FOUR) months of being together.

Thursday night was interesting .. I begged Jen all day to come home early, and she kept on saying she couldn't.  She called work that night when she said she would around 745 from her dorm .. and about an hour later, she came from out of nowhere at Wal*Mart .. that's an evil Roo, but the bestest thing of all.  She lied to me that very cute, adorable, sneaky, devilish, loveble Roo, but all was good.  We hung out here at casa de Rusty, making up for some lost time and just snuggled and chatted it up over on the waterbed. Good times had.

Firday was work followed by a nice evening at the movies.  Took the Roo to see One Hour Photo.  Must say that Robin Williams guy sure has lost his love for comedy, but tis good.  Third movie I've seen him in this year, and one of the good ones too, but nothing beats Death To Smoochy (which you all can own on DVD tomorrow and will be the subject of Movie Night this Wednesday, so please come over!).  The best part of the movie for me was where Sy the Photo Guy worked.  A place called SavMart, which was nothing but a Wal*Mart for obsessive-compulsive people.

Saturday was early day of work, followed by a lovely evening of dinner and presents with the Roo; a shoebox o'goodies only a Roo would cherrish, and no one else..  Went to Pargo's in York, after getting there late and apparently too late for the Olive Garden .. damn line. Found her the coolest Weezer shirt ever, and included that with her birfday presents.  Kermit in front of a flying W, playing the guitar.  I saw that and knew she'd want it.  Returns the favor of the Weezer shirt with the muppets she got me.

Sunday was 4 months for us Roo's.  Went up her way for church and a lunch at her grandparent's place.  Scarfed down a whole half of chicken before she became my pillow for an afternoon siesta around hyper-active cousins.  We came home and laid on her floor for 2 hours just goofing off.  Pizza for dinner, and snuggled up on the couch for the rest of our weekend together.  Watched the end of Pleasantville before the beginning.

Had to say goodbye, hurt as usual.  But it's ok, she'll be back this Friday for Superdrag in Baltimore with myself and Tom Rose.  On a music related note, just want to congratulate Matthew, Daniel, and Ira for the release of Let Go over in Europe tomorrow. Good luck on your excursion over there men, hurry home and play here for god's sake!

You know, there isn't another girl I could think of being with.  I realized this after the 2 hours laying on the carpet by the kitchen table at Jen's house.  To be able to lay there and have the best time of your life is pretty stupid to some, but to Jen and I, it's just pretty.  To lay on the carpet, beat each other up, snuggle, talk, and for Jen to have the biggest smile when she tips me over and I complain my sinus hurts.  But of course, I don't think I'll ever live down the 'cows are black and white deer' spiel, will I dearest Roo?

Happy birthday my beloved Jennifer.  Hope I made it the best one you ever had.
