| 05/07/01. 23:19pm. Meeting People Is Easy .. Well, For Me It Is. Workity work was alright tonight. On express register #30, meaning customers were to have 20 items or less. As always several customers broke that rule (when doesn't that happen). Had a female customer come through the line tonight making a purchase of Tool's latest effort, Lateralus. She was pretty cool and with the times, but looked a little old for Rusty, maybe the college girl age of 19-22. I guess it's a little old for 17 year old Rusty, but when is older bad? I don't know. Anyway back to where we were ... I bought that the day of release, the same day that Weezer released The Green Album. She's all "I hope it's good," I reassure her by saying it is and telling her that I bought that and Weezer the same day and she's like "oh, I love Weezer," but, being me I had to kinda confront her over the situation.. ME: "..BUT! are you a real fan?" GIRL: "yeah, I have all their albums" ME: "thank GOD! someone else in this town who's a fan" (we hug) We had a quicky conversation and I had asked her if she heard any of the new stuff.. post-Green, she says no, so as school mates / "couple of the year" Wherley D and Baust H wait behind her, I take a piece of reciept tape and scratch down this web address here and tell her my site has some of the new songs, come on by and download them off me. Now no not yet are any new songs up yet, they are uploading as we speak. If she comes by, and she visits the site, and sees this .. "hello girl whose name I am unaware of. get in touch with me. Thanks." Thanks to her, Lateralus is this evening's venture. Lasting 78:59, this will be the only cd heard before I go to bed tonight. Very nice, 8 minute opus/1 minute interlude pattern very nice.
