It is now believed that WISE DUCK had a psychotic break with reality, and a new personality, named Cecil, splintered off from his tortured psyche. This hypothesis is suggested by the fact that when WISE DUCK reappeared, he no longer had an English accent. He spoke much like Cecil.
What triggered that psychotic break? No one can be sure, but it is rumored that somebody accused WISE DUCK of being nothing more than a hand with glasses.
