Presidio Park and funny cars
I took a chance to take pictures of the famous Presidio Park in SF while taking a break on Sunday. March 2003.
My (most?) favourite view from SF! From INSPIRATION POINT. Looking towards Alcatraz, Angel Island on the left, and the town of Richmond behind.
This is the view from the Presidio, north towards the Marin (Head)Lands. The water inbetween goes under the Golden Gate Bridge.
a LONGER shot of the beautiful Marin Headlands. I went with a bicycle up on the first tall hill on the other side once (the one with trees/bushes.)
More to the left: there is a lighthouse (O|OAP) at the end over there. I have to go with the bike over there and back some day.
Look what I found when I strolled through the forest. A branch of a tree. Ohh a beautiful red Chevy convertible of the 60s/70s. A VERY LONG CAR. I hate such wasteful cars. But the design was good.
Same evening, 10th Ave in the Sunset district. I thought it's funny I saw 3 GOLFs parked :)
A silver no-frills Golf IV GL 2.0, a silver Golf III 2.0 and... a black Golf/GTI IV 2.8 VR6!!!
Crazy Americans. Modifying this Toyota jeep/truck/suv (4Runner, I believe)
