| "DISNEY WORLD!" she cried, once the blindfold fell away from her eyes, and she could see where she was. Sabrina started laughing. Lance just grinned at her. "I knew you haven't been here for a while, and I was hoping we could hang here today." She was still giggling when she answered him. Jumping at him and wrapping her arms around his neck, she said "It couldn't have been a better surprise, Scoop!" He struggled to keep his balance, laughing along with her. "I'm glad you like it." They broke apart, and Sabrina carefully looked at him. "Where are all of the other people?" He blushed slightly while smiling slyly. "Today, the park's not actualy open, but Jice talked to the managers and got them to let us in. Think about it. No lines and no need to have more than one on security!" She shook her head. "That truly shows how much your life has changed. Two years ago, the Lance I knew wouldn't get excited about having only security guard. He'd moan and bitch about even having to have one!" Jason grunted. "Don't I know it." Sabrina and Jason giggled about that, but Lance didn't think it was very funny. He just stood there and watched the two gasping for breath. Sabrina noticed how he was uncomfortable, so she grabbed his hand and took off, leaving Jason to catch up. About a half an hour later, Sabrina found herself on the Splash Mountain ride. What am I doing here? she wondered. I hate these type of rides! She was beginning to think Lance had forgotten that fact, but she forced him to remember, by grabbing his arm tightly and screaming in his ear loudly. He had to laugh at her. He had remembered, all right. He just wanted to see how much he could get her to do. After about two hours, Sabrina was weak with hunger, but she was having too much fun to stop and eat, or say anything to Lance. But he noticed how pale and shaky she was, and asked if she was all right. Sabrina heard Lance, but it sounded like he was far away, and a black shadow surrounded her. She had no idea where she was. A thick fog surrounded her, and she fought to get through, but it only made the fog come in closer. Then, she heard a booming voice, calling her name. She looked around, trying to find the source, but it continued to call her name, never giving a clue as to who it belonged to. Suddenly, she felt like she was soaring through a tunnel that had a light on the end of it. She heard the voice, getting louder and closer. Then, she saw Lance's face, very fuzzy and slowly clearing. He was leaning over her, holding her face inbetween his hands. "Sabrina," he called gently. "Come on, honey, wake up." She groaned, blinking at the bright light. "Huh?" He let out his breath, not even realizing he had been holding it. He sent up an instant prayer of thanks, and pulled her in close to him, holding onto her as if to keep her from leaving him. "Don't ever scare me like that again, Sabrina," he mumbled into her hair. She was still a little foggy, but Sabrina hugged him back. She could feel dampness on her neck, and she realized Lance was crying. Taking her hands and pulling them off of her back, she pushed him back to get a good look at him. She could see the signs of tears in the corners of his eyes, and her eyes started to water up also. "You scared the shit out of me," he said, his voice husky with emotion. Her only response was to pull him in for another hug, that lasted only untill Jason came with food and drink for her. Breaking away from their embrace, Sabrina and Lance felt a little embarrassed. That was weird. I hope nobody saw, she thought. "Sabrina," interjected Jason. "You need to eat this." She didn't reply, only nodding, still a little dizzy. When she reached for the drink, Jason wouldn't let her hold it herself, because her hands were shaking so badly. Lance took it from Jason, held the cup up to her lips, and tipped it slightly so she could drink it. Some came out of the sides of the cup and trickled down her face. He couldn't help laughing, and she snorted, almost spitting the pop out. Still chuckling, he wiped off her face with a napkin. "Are you better?" he asked, gazing at her face, trying to find any traces of weakness. She nodded. "I'm much better. I'm so sorry Lance. I didn't mean to scare you guys like that. I was just having so much fun, I kinda forgot I was hungry. You too, Jason," seeing that his face was just about as white as Lance's. "It's okay, chica," replied Jason. "Just don't do that to us again. Actually, I think Lance might be worse off then you are. He just about fainted along with you." "It'll never happen again," she promised. "Now I think I know how you felt," she added, turning to Lance. "last summer. I'm pretty sure you know how I felt." He nodded, trying to recover his frazzled nerves. "I always thought you were overreacting, but I realize now it was scary for everyone, not just me," he said, referring to the time, last summer, when Lance had collapsed off stage on their tour. She nodded, getting off of the bench. "Well, I feel much better. Ready?" she asked, extending her hand to him to help him off of the bench. "Are you sure?" "Yup. I'm much stronger, and besides, I don't want to ruin the fun today. Sooooo, let's go." "No pressure, you know." "Lance," she sighed, getting annoyed. "I'm fine. Stop worrying, I'm stronger now, and I'm not hungry anymore." "Okay, mother." She rolled her eyes. "You're playing that role very well right now, I might add. You just need to say 'Don't poke your eye out,' and you've got the part." She reached down, grabbed his hand, and dragged him off, once again leaving Jason to catch up. |
