"Did you rise the sun for me? Or paint a million stars that I might know your majesty? Is your voice upon the wind? Is everything I've known marked with my makers fingerprints?"

Pretty powerful words, huh? It's lyrics like these (from the worship song "Always" by Hillsongs) that never cease to put me in my place. A pure state of awefulness. Take a moment to consider each line. "Did you rise the sun for me?" He created not only the sun, but
everything. . . for you. Your were the person he had in mind as he created things. You are the most important person in the plan of God. Hard to believe? If your anything like the rest of us, yes, very hard to believe. How can we be the most important person in God's plan, if there are millions of other people who are "most important" in God's plan? The answer is actually quite simple. Everyone is pertinent or highest on God's list.

I like to look at it this way. God has a big list of important people up in Heaven. It's a list of all the people that are vital in order to carry out his will. But, his list is quite different from any other horizantally numbered list. Instead of looking like this;
1.) Mary Beth Jones
2.) Hosea Blanchard
3.) Todd Michealson
(etc.)

His list goes like this. . .
1.) Mary Beth Jones, Hosea Blanchard, Todd Michealson
We're all important! We now must learn to just unlock the potential earth shaking abilities he's placed inside each one of us!

"Or paint a million stars that I might know your majesty" How many times have you just sat and looked at the stars? If you haven't lately, I'd highly recommend it. It's a humbling moment, when you look up at the stars set against pure blackness and realize that your problems and trials, although God still cares about them, are
nothing compared to his power!

"Is your voice upon the wind?" Do you ever listen to God? Psalms 46:10 says "Be still, and know that I am God. . ." How many times a day are you still in his presence? If you never have, just try it sometime. Find a quiet spot and just sit. Be still. More then likely, you won't hear a whisper in your ear, but cliche as it may sound, you must learn to hear the whispers in your heart. God will lead you in the right direction if your willing to listen with your heart, and not just your head. His voice is upon the wind, to be heard anywhere and everywhere? How do you recognize it? Learn to listen, and not always talk.

"Is everything I've known marked with my maker's fingerprints?" Everywhere you look is a fingerprint of God. How does that work? Everything is created by God. Even the things that are conducted by man are still brought about ultimately by God's creations. If your having a hard time feeling God's presense one day. . . Look around. Notice the trees and people and the rain. Your looking at the fingerprints of God. What more inspiration could you ask for?!

In closing I'd like to leave you with this verse "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations." Jeremiah 1:5
Your so important to God. He loves you more then anyone. Go after your dreams and fulfill your purpose!
