Now for the rules, what RP doesn't have a set of them? I expect each and everyone of you to follow them. Disregard them, and you will get yourself a nice ban as a present.
#1 No Power-playing, very common through most rpgs. Though some is welcome if you and your opponent(s) OOCly agree to it. But please notify one of the ops, so we won't get on your case.
#2 No God-moding. Even if you are playing a god, that doesn't mean your character is invincible.
#3 No Auto-hitting.Basically means you calling you opponents damage. Each action is to be an attempt.
#4 No Meta-gaming. Meaning your character already knows the other char's names, abilities and everything without ever meeting them.
(The four rules above do not apply if they're your own characters and/or NPCs)
#5 Please try to keep things on a realisitc level. Though this is a fantasy-based rpg, there should be some elements that should stay on a certain level. Time isn't really affected much, unless you do huge time skips in a short amount of time. Also this means that your character one moment doesn't know something, the next they're suddenly the strongest, or know an entire language etc.
#6 If the ops ask you to do something, then please DO IT. Especially if arguments break out, if I tell you to shut up...then you'd better do it or both sides, including the not-guilty side will be kicked and banned for 12-24 hours, or longer depending on the offense.
#7 Please be respectful of other rpers. You don't have to like someone, but please do not go insulting every couple of minutes.
#8 Please don't beg for ops, I will be the only one who will decide who gets to be ops.
#9 Please visitors no adveritising or you will be kicked.
#10 Please do not come crying to the ops for every little thing that happens, we are not responsible for the actions of other rpers. So please sort it out yourselves, if however the problem cannot be solved you may come to one of us for help.
#11 No controlling other people's characters, or pming them and telling them what to have their character what to do all the time.
#12 Do not kill other people's character without permission..
#13 Please no flooding, if you have to say something twice then do so. but the even of flooding will get you kicked or even banned.
#14 Visitors please don't ask for other people's personal information, especially if they don't want to tell you, we all have rights to our privacy.
#15 Please try to keep ooc talking to a minimum when RP is in progress. If there is no rp going on, then go ahead and chat.
#16 Please do not complain about the silence, if you want people to talk, then simply try starting a conversation. Just because our nicks are there, doesn't always mean we are. W could either be busy, afk, etc.
#17 Mild nudity is permitted, but sexual content is to be for PM or priv chan.
#18 Copyrighted characters are not permitted. Sorry, can't have Frodo or Shea running around. Though races like Hobbits, etc, are still playable.
#19 Can't have Mary-sues either, sorry but they're just plain annoying.
#20 If you get yourself banned, then please do not send others after the op who did the banning, its pointless, and a waste of time.
#21 Please don't take everything way too seriously, this is an rpg, we're here to have fun, if someone makes a mistake, then in a POLITE way correct them. This isn't one of those super serious rpgs, like I said, we're here to have fun.
#22 Telepathy, and telekensis are all to be attempts. Teleportation will not be permitted.
#23 No space aliens, this is a FANTASY-based rp
#24 Time traveling will not be permitted.
#25 Please don't use really bright colors for your text...'cuz it burns! It BURNS our eyeses!
#26 When speaking ooc please use brackets, (( ))
#27 Made-up races will be allowed, but you will have to provide a bit of info about it.
#28 And most importantly...HAVE FUN! That's what Dancing Crow is all about!! *shakes you*...*lets go of you* sorry, I don't know what came over me >_>;;
